Tufted perennial grass that forms into spreading or upright clumps, with blue-green foliage and flower spikelets carried on branched stems.

Use for mass planting, cottage gardens, rockeries or as a border in garden beds. Cut back hard in early spring to rejuvenate.

Indigenous name: WUULOT (Gunditjmara)
In summer, seeds were ground into flour, mixed with water, and cooked to make damper. Stems were used to make twine for fishing nets.
