Small to medium shrub with narrow spiky foliage and clusters of ball-shaped flowers in leaf axils.
Can be used as a screen, barrier, or informal hedge. Improves soil fertility through fixing nitrogen. Prickly foliage makes it a fantastic bird refuge. Tolerates moderate frost.
