Medium upright to oval tree with an open canopy, lanceolate foliage and flowers from winter to spring. Rough bark at base giving way to smooth yellow bark above.
A great shade tree suitable for streetscapes, parks or gardens. The large volume of flowers attracts native birds and bees. Produces a high-quality honey.

Oil from leaves used to treat colds and chest complaints. Nectar was collected from the flowers.
