Open to dense tree with rough, fibrous yellow-brown bark on much of the trunk, blue-green lanceolate foliage and masses of flowers.
Grows to a large tree, so not suited to small residential gardens, however it makes a good park tree or street tree. Is a favoured species of apiarists and is used to make honey.
